Deadly Cult clashes leaves one dead, several others injured in Abuja suburb

Cult clashes at Tudun Wada, behind Lugbe Federal Housing Authority (FHA) left one dead on Wednesday night.

The clash was between Aro cult and Egede Cult groups who engaged each other in a show of supremacy with their members who are 25 to 26 years.

The clash left one who was simply identified as Chidera dead on the night of Wednesday at Angwa-Tiv where they normally hold their meetings.

While ferociously engaging each other with dangerous weapons including arms, residents of Angwa-Tiv scampered for safety with some families sleeping outside away from the scene for fear of midnight attack.

Our correspondent learnt that before Police operatives from Lugbe Division could arrive, the deceased (Chidera) who was a member of one of the rival group had been killed.

Angwa-Tiv in Tudun Wada Lugbe has been known for notorious cult boys and other forms of gangsters who daily terrorise residents with Security operatives doing little or nothing about their activities.

They usually move in group harassing and ceasing handsets particularly at nights.

A Victim of their attack who operates a POS at Angwa-Tiv told our Correspondent that these gangsters once visited him demanding for payment of tax which he told them to wait for the owner, but left after he insisted they should wait.

Meanwhile, effort to speak with DPO in charge of Lugbe FHA Police station for his reaction didn’t yield result before filing this report.
