Security: US sends delegation, lauds Nasarawa governor

Following his frantic efforts to curtail and overcome security challenges, United States of America (US) government has showered commendation on Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule.
The US secretary of State, Mike Pompeo who gave the commendation while engaging, Sule on insecurity matters in Abuja
A statement signed by the Chief Press secretary to the governor, Abdullahi Sule, Comrade Ibrahim Addra states that the delegation came to Nigeria at the instance of Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo which consists of senior officials handling issues of civilian security within the state Department.
The letter inviting Governor Sule to the event states that “We carefully thought about which governors would add the most value for our Washington visitors and of course, you are at the top of our list”, the statement continued.
“The Embassy also noted the leadership of the Governor, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State in bringing Christian and Muslim communities together as well as working together with his Benue State counterpart in managing cross border issues.
The statement quoting that the meeting discussed the impact of violence on communities and best practices in mitigating or ending conflicts.
The meeting was also attended by the governors of Zamfara, and Borno states.
