Kogi: Bello’s aide alledgedly lead thugs in unleashing violence on Christian worshippers at Anyigba
The Senior Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello on Security in charge of Dekina Local Government, Prince Ishaq Okolo alledgedly led thugs’ invasion of Christian worshippers at Anyigba in Dekina Local Government Council in Kogi East Senatorial district.
The SSA who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate of Dekina Local Government Council in December LG election on Monday led horde of hoodlums to disperse and unleashing violence on Christian worshippers who gathered for a “prayer walk.’
Explaining his ordeal, Mr. David Sanda said, “thugs disrupt our prayers, tore the Nigeria flag we were holding and our banner with the inscription “Lord, heal our land.”
Another eye witness, who craved anonymity, explained that they were over 400 youths and Pastors that gathered for a “prayer walk,”.
“The gathering was initially considered anti-Yahaya Bello and the CAN Chairman in Kogi State, Evangelist John Ibenu called our pastors to move into Dunamis Church to avoid the looming attack by thugs.
“Earlier thugs have warned us to leave the road and stop the “Prayer Walk” claiming that Anyigba is not a Christian community and we left for Dunamis Church.
“While in the Church, Ishaq Okolo jolted into the Church auditorium, beat the church leaders and other church members in the auditorium, destroyed several plastic chairs, broke the windows of the church and stab the security of the church.
