Breaking: EndSARS: Miscreants break into Benin prison, destroy court
Suspected miscreants have broken into Benin prison on Monday morning and freed a yet-to-be confirmed number of inmates from their cells.
The Benin prison otherwise called White House was attacked while EndSars protesters were protesting thereby causing confusion all over the places.
But reports reaching CAPITAL POST has it that the armed prison officials engaged with the miscreants in gun duel leading some persons sustaining injuries as a result of gunshot.
The hoodlums also destroyed High Court 4 and vandalised the offices which is directly behind the prison.
Our reporter gathered that protesters began gathering as early as 7.00am along Sapele Road where they started bonfires thereby scaring residents and passers-by.
They launched their attack when their number had swelled considerably, broke a part of the wall while some climbed the fence into the prison yard.
