Jubilation as Niger communities gets two cottage hospitals in years

Relief came the way of rural communities of Niwoye in Essa Ward and Dagba-Kota in Gbakogi ward in Katcha Local Government Council of Niger State as two cottage hospitals were being constructed for the indigenes in years.

Member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Saidu Musa Abdul revealed that he facilitated the construction of the cottage hospitals because the affected communities lack access to healthcare for long years now.

Change of Name

In a statement issued and made available to CAPITAL POST by his Aide, Engr. Dodo Almustapha noted that the construction of the two cottage hospitals for those “communities were part of the capital projects captured in the Appropriation Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for 2020”, saying if.completed, would enhance the healthcare services for the rural communities.

“Recently, in a radio programme, Hon. Saidu has reiterated his commitment to alleviating the suffering of the people in accessing quality healthcare services through building of hospitals in the hard-to-reach communities in his Constituency.

“Niwoye in Essa Ward and Dagba-Kota in Gbakogi Ward under Katcha Local Government of Niger State, have existed for many years without befitting hospitals where the rural populace could access quality healthcare services.

“Upon completing and commissioning these hospitals, era of people travelling far and wide to address medical challenges with attendant excruciating bills will be brought to an end.”
