Borno Women Affairs Commissioner lauds UNFPA, KOICA, RHHF for partnering with Borno State government Commissioner For Women Affairs and Social Development in Borno State, Honourable Zuwaira Gambo says the partnership between the state government and Development partners had impacted positively on the lives of the vulnerable women in the state.
Hajiya Gambo bares her mind during the empowerment programme for survivors of fistula cases numbering over 100 in Borno State.
She says the laudable partnership that brought about life fulfillment on the part of distress women, is the best thing that will happen to fistula victims in Borno state.
Honourable Zuwaira Gambo avered that the positive development is amount to giving hope to the hopeless as well as making them responsible citizens both to themselves, Community and the state at large.
She says the collaborative efforts of UNFPA, KOICA and RHHF through the process of training, equiping and provision of capital to survivors of women with fistula cases in the state, was an encouragement that all hope was not lost, for so many women in that category.
She thanked the state government under the leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, donor agencies whose decision to use the state as spring board for all its life touching activities to sustain the momentum, while urging the women to utilize maximally the items provided.
Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo reiterated her committment to the welfare of Borno women, saying the doors of the state government is widely open for such positive gesture.
