NCPC boss commends healthcare providers, humanitarian organisations’ effort in society
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC, Rev. Yakubu Pam has commended the efforts of healthcare providers and humanitarian organisations in reaching out to the less privileged people in the Society.
He gave the commendation in Abuja recently while playing host to the members of the International Association Lions Club in his office in Abuja.
He urged them to work in synergy with other related organisations in order to help the less privileged people in the Society.
He described their intention and interest to conduct a free eye test for the Commission’s staff as a ‘Welcome Development’ in his words, “This is what our country needs now, without it a lot of people will die in silence”. He added, “Your coming will give more hope to the less privileged”.
Earlier, the Leader of the delegation, Lion Fadeyi Abiodun told the NCPC boss that the club is involved in various humanitarian organisations such as health care and feeding of the hungry in the Society.
Lion Abiodun intimated the NCPC Chief Executive that he was in the Commission with his team to screen staff with eye defects and provide free eye glasses for them in commemoration with the 2020 World Sight Day which has as its Theme: “Hope in Sight”.
