NCPC boss inaugurates Federal Medical Committee for December, 2020 Pilgrimage
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam has inaugurated the Federal Medical Committee for the 2020 December Pilgrimage exercise to Israel, Rome and Greece.
The NCPC boss informed the Committee members that their selection was based on the guidelines of the Commission for the selection of members and the criteria was carefully followed.
He stressed that their faith in the Lord was also one of the criteria for appointment into the Committee.
The NCPC Chief Executive further stated that the committee provides a veritable platform for them to serve their fatherland. His words: “it is a privilege for you to serve your country”. He urged them to perform this onerous national assignment with their best of ability.
The NCPC boss congratulated the newly inaugurated members of the Federal Medical Committee and admonished them to be diligent and faithful in their service to the Nigerian Pilgrims. According to him, “you should not fear face; you should discharge your duty faithfully.”
He intimated them that the Commission is hopeful that this year’s December general pilgrimage exercise to Israel would be excellent in terms of quality service, security and general organization.
Rev. Pam urged the members to acquaint themselves with the terms of reference which would serve as a guide in the discharge of their assignment.
The terms of reference include; to ensure strict compliance to COVID 19 protocols at all the departure airports, to coordinate the procurement of drugs for the pilgrimage in line with approved budget, to handle all medical cases during pilgrimage operation in Nigeria, Israel, Greece and Rome, amongst others.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Federal Medical Committee, Dr. David Aturo thanked the NCPC helmsman for considering them worthy to serve the Commission and the nation. He assured that his members would carry out their assignment diligently.
