Ortom set to commission massive projects soon in Benue – Media aide

Governor Samuel Ortom would sustain the massive road construction and electricity  projects ongoing in various communities of BenueState, his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Akase has said.
Speaking at Tse-Agberagba after celebrating mass with his kinsmen, Akase noted, “that Governor Samuel Ortom is committed to reciprocating the love and support given to him by Benue people with provision of infrastructure and other social amenities.” 
Speaking further on efforts of the governor, he said:
“The opening up of more layouts in Makurdi with construction of urban roads in Gboko and Otukpo as well as many others cutting across several local government areas such as the one from Mkar through Buruku to Ushongo and the road from Ge-Ikyobo-Agbeede to Anshagba are some of the projects soon to be completed by the Ortom administration and would be commissioned.
The Governor’s spokesman also stated that more Benue communities would benefit from electricity projects as witnessed in the first term of the Governor. 
On sports development, Mr Akase advocated an annual football competition in Konshisha Local Government Area to promote peace and unity.
He commended the Caretaker Council in the area for constituting the local chapter of Football Association, stressing that it was the right thing to do.The Chief Press Secretary described the local government system as very key to development in the society as it was the closest to the people.
Konshisha Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Mrs. Mwuese Ubebe, said with the support of Governor Ortom, the boarder between Ugambe and Mbamaa which had resulted to violence between the two communities had successfully been demarcated.
She similarly acknowledged the support of the Governor towards other people-oriented programmes. Mrs Ubebe also praised Mr Terver Akase for his laudable contributions to the development of the area and encouraged him to keep up the gesture.
Others who spoke at the event were State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Bemgba Iortyom, Deputy Caretaker Chairman of Konshisha, Hon Emmanuel Ortese and PDP Chairmanship candidate for the local government, Engr James Jirgba.
Youth groups and Akase’s kinsmen from Mbatsen other groups such as NULGE and NLC Konshisha branches commended Mr Akase for his sterling performance as the Governor’s spokesman.
