Ortom mourns demise of Zazzau Emir

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom says the death of the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Shehu Idris, CFR is a huge loss to Nigeria.

Governor Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of the state, consoles the family of the late royal father and the Zazzau Emirate. He also sympathizes with and government and entire people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate loss.

He states that as one of the longest serving traditional rulers in Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Idris made significant contributions to the unity and development of the country.

The Governor further says the late Emir of Zazzau was among royal fathers in the country who stood for justice and equity while upholding the cultural values of their people.

He prays for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
