A one-day Agro-Support Symposium, organized by the National Association of Akwa Ibom State Students (NAAKIS), will hold on December 3, 2024, at the University of Uyo, Town Campus, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The symposium, which has its theme: “Agriculture Entrepreneurship: A Tool for Economic Diversification for Students in Akwa Ibom State,” is part of NAAKIS’ week programme for this year 2024, with the aim of creating and sensitizing students on the benefits of adopting agriculture as profession and a tool for economic diversification.
The programme will feature papers to be delivered by agriculture experts and prominent stakeholders in the agricultural sector and agro-allied industries, as well as others. It is worth noting that agriculture remains the mainstay of the nation’s revenue earnings and employs over 70 percent of labor.
