Soldier fighting Boko Haram shot himself on head after leaving note for his wife

In Yobe State, a Lance corporal fighting Boko Haram who was attached to the Army’s 27 task force brigade in Buni Gari, Gujba local government area shot himself on the head.

Sources said he left a note for his wife earlier, but the message has not been revealed yet.

The soldier was said to have suddenly took his gun, aimed at his head and pulled the trigger.

According military sources, he shot himself on the head, and he died immediately, before other soldiers could render help.

“We have evacuated his remains and the military authority will commence investigations immediately”, Sources said.
