NCPC partners Ondo government on agriculture, youth pilgrimage

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Yabuku Pam has said that the Commission would partner with Ondo State on Agricuture and youth pilgrimage.

He disclosed this recently during a sensitization visits to Ondo State by the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian pilgrim Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam.

Change of Name

He explained that Nigerian youths need to be meaningfully engaged in the area of agriculture. In his words “ our youths need to be engaged because many of them are wandering around that is why their energy is channelled towards destroying what has already be built”.

He further explained that some few states have participated and benefited from the youth pilgrimage program of the Commission in the past. According to him, “few states have benefited from our agricultural scheme, the state government sponsored young people from their states to study the Agricultural system of Israel”.

Rev. Pam commended the Governor of Ondo State for the giant strides he has of his administration, especially in area of agriculture. In his words, “ I am excited that agriculture is part of the developmental scheme you have delivered to your people, because Nigeria can only survive when agriculture is taken seriously”.

He intimated the governor that was a one awareness visit to Ondo state to fraternize with Christian Association of Nigeria and church leaders as the Commission is preparing for the flag off of the General pilgrimage exercise to Israel this year.

The Governor of Ondo state, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu thanked the Executive Secretary and his team for coming.

He explained that as a nation we must be self sufficient in the area of Agriculture, adding that once hunger is removed poverty is limited. He assured the Executive Secretary that he would continue to be fair to all by carrying the fathers of the faith along.
