Rex Daniel Amerika, a political activist based in Port Harcourt, has called on political detractors to refrain from criticizing the judiciary and FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

In a personally signed statement, Amerika condemned what he described as a deliberate effort by the Rivers State government to mislead the judiciary and tarnish the reputation of the FCT Minister.

Change of Name

Amerika highlighted questionable tactics surrounding recent political defections in Rivers state, suggesting they were merely a “smokescreen” intended to distract and manipulate those in power. He argued that these defections were not conducted in accordance with legal requirements, casting doubt on their legitimacy.

Amerika claimed that the situation has exposed various pro-Sim detractors and allies to scrutiny by law enforcement agencies, including the EFCC, due to questionable election practices.

He also expressed disappointment with individuals whom he believed had compromised their integrity for monetary gain, aligning themselves with attacks on the judiciary.

Reacting, he said, “Maybe his men defected, yet the prerequisites of defection were not met. Isn’t it obvious that the defection drama was only a smokescreen? A ploy to distract the power mongers and cause them to make mistakes? Think about it: if they hadn’t staged defections, they wouldn’t have secured enough grounds to impeach him. He wouldn’t have committed the blunder of presenting a budget to a three-man forum. Not defecting wouldn’t have forced SIM (Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara) to come out and show his true character to the world. The defection play baited Sim into irreparable errors.”

“Defection drama has landed Sim in the bad books of the judiciary and President Tinubu. The defection charade has put Sim in a situation where he could only survive by surrendering to the law and the EFCC. The defection saga has also placed a number of pro-Sim detractors and accomplices under the scrutiny of the police and EFCC through questionable caretaker arrangements and APP election manipulations. The defection saga has opened the eyes of political leaders and kingmakers, urging them to be thorough and not deceived by an outward display of decency.”

“The fact that the defectors failed to carry out due diligence in their defection, as required by the party constitution, shows it was nothing but a scam designed to mislead the pro-Sim Council of Lawbreakers. Emeka Beke expressed this sentiment clearly in a trending video.”

“I am only disappointed that vibrant young men, and even older men, would be so easily bought with a few dollars, making themselves appear cheap as they insult the judiciary like their principal, Sim,” he added.

Amerika stressed that accusations of bias against the judiciary are selective, pointing out that certain judgments were accepted without question when they favored particular political interests.

He called on pro-Sim supporters to respect the rule of law and prepare for potential legal consequences. He also warned that attempts to undermine the judiciary through media tactics would ultimately fail.

He explained, “You accuse the judiciary of favoring Wike but didn’t criticize the judiciary when the State High Court entertained a matter of defection beyond its jurisdiction.

“Yet, no one from Wike’s camp came on national TV to call it a fraudulent judgment, even though we know Sim paid heavily for that judgment.

“You’re also aware of the State High Court’s repeated attempts to disrupt Federal High Court orders, rulings, and judgments, thanks to a generous paycheck.

“Let the pro-Simites repent from hypocrisy and prepare for the fierce legal challenges awaiting them.

“The law is supreme and can never be blackmailed by subtle media manipulation.”
