Breaking: Emir of Biu, Aliyu dies at 79

The traditional monarch of Biu, Alhaji Mai Umar Mustapha Aliyu is dead.

He died at the age of 79. Aliyu ascended to the throne in 1979.

It wasn’t confirmed the nature of illness that killed the first.class monarch at a time of filling this report, but his family expresses deep shock at his demise.

“We lost our father a pillar to Biu Emirate and Borno entirely, the Emir of Biu.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him the highest place in Jannatil firdaus,”.
