Ebonyi Governor donates Prado Jeeps to National Assembly members from State
Ebonyi State Governor, Hon. Ogbonnaya Nwifuru has donated three latest Prado Jeeps to three members Senators from the State who are currently serving last week.
He was said to have gifted brand new cars to the six members of the House of Representatives from the State.
Ebonyi State has nine National Assembly members comprising three Senators and six members of the House of Representatives.
Some months ago, the governor also splashed brand new car gifts to Catholic priests in the state.
Ebonyi State according to data from National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) is one of the poorest states in Nigeria.
Ebonyi is an agrarian state with zero industrial base. The primary and secondary healthcare sectors in the state are nearly in comatose state, while public educational institutions in the state continue to struggle with broken down structures, while teachers’ salaries are delayed, local government staff salaries have also been inaccessible.
Members of the National Assembly have already been given their statutory official vehicles. Prado jeeps for those in the House of Representatives while senators have been allocated Toyota Land cruiser jeeps.
