Zuma Int’l Film Fest: Vento Furniture’s sponsorship excites FG, industry stakeholders
The Federal Government and stakeholders in the Creative Industry showered encomiums on Furniture manufacturing company, VENTO Furniture for their efforts in supporting the upcoming 14th edition of the Zuma International Film Festivals (ZUFF) slated for Dec. 1 to Dec. 5.
The company being one of the Major sponsors of the event received the accolades on Tuesday when stakeholders converged at its state of the Art furniture showroom in Abuja where a Press Conference was held to flag off the activities of the Film Festival.
The event organised by the Nigerian Film Corporation, NFC, and the Ministry of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy had in attendance Ministers and other stakeholders.
Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa lauded the sponsors for their zeal to collaborate with the Federal government which she said will play a huge part towards the success of the Festival.
According to her the inputs of the sponsor demonstrates their passion for the development of the Nigerian creative industry.
Musawa added that Film Festivals and Markets provide unique opportunities for various players to impact the local film industry.
She commended; “As we expand the frontiers of our storytelling, I commend past and present sponsors and partners for supporting the organising of the film festival.
“The festival continues to serve as a critical platform for the convergence of filmmakers, industry professionals, investors, policymakers, and creative entrepreneurs.
NFC’S Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the corporation, Dr Ali Nuh while unveiling the logo and theme of the event tagged “Digital Renaissance: Embracing the Future” expressed that there will be a landmark celebration of film, culture and digital transformation.
While thanking Vento Furniture for their contributions Nuhu revealed that this year’s edition has highlighted the transformative power of digital technology in filmmaking, with over 3,120 films submissions from countries including Nigeria, Iran, India, USA, Spain, and France.
Giving reasons behind the motivation to host the event, Managing Director, Vento Mr. Sadiq Mahmood expressed the theme of the event resonates with the values of the company.
He said; “This festival with the theme represents the very heart of expression, Cultural exchange and tailored storytelling values that resonate deeply with us.
“At VENTO, we take pride in not only creating beautiful and functional spaces but also in fostering unique creativity and innovation.
“We are thrilled to host this exciting event as we support the film industry in its continuous efforts to inspire and tell our society’s story.
According to Sadiq the company is delighted to celebrate both the old and new talents of filmmakers, actors, as well as creatives from across the nation and beyond.

Speaking on behalf of the Nollywood practitioners ,President of the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas expressed delight at the support of the Vento Furniture and other sponsors stressing that the Movie industry never had it this good.
