Jigawa explosion: Humanitarian Ministry condoles Gov. Namadi, families of victims
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has expressed sympathy to the Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, and the families of victims affected by the petrol tanker explosion that claimed the lives of over 100 people and left dozens injured in Majiya town, Taura Local Government Area of the state earlier this week.
The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by the Ministry’s Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Iliya Rhoda Ishaku, on Friday.
The Ministry, while commiserating with the families of the victims, prayed for the souls of the departed and a quick recovery for the injured.
The Ministry also prayed that such a traumatic incident never happen again in the state or anywhere in the country.
Meanwhile, the Ministry assured that it is working with all relevant stakeholders to address the humanitarian crisis caused by the devastating incident.
