Ahead of Local Government Council election in Kogi State which was slated for 19th October, 2024 by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, KOSIEC, the Chairmanship flagbearer on the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh, (Marknoble) has visited Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to thank him for his transformative initiatives,
In a statement which was issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Acting Chairman of Omala Local Government Council and the APC flagbearer on Sunday, Gift Idoga Haruna, said, the visit was to thank the Governor for his transformative initiatives and inclusive governance since taking office and especially his development giant strides in Omala Local Government Area.
Hon. Edibo said he was at the Government House on behalf of the good people of Omala LGA to say a big thank you to the Governor and to pledge his people’s continuous support to the programmes and policies of His Excellency’s administration.
Also, Hon. Edibo said he was at the Government House alongside defectors from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) from Omala Local Government Area who said they have seen the light and would want to be a part of the good things happening in Kogi State under Governor Ododo.
According to him, “The influx of defectors from other parties across the State to the APC shows that the Government of Ododo is doing well.
While welcoming Hon. Edibo and his delegation, the Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo said his government is poised to deliver purposeful leadership and implement programmes that will unite the State and provide inclusive governance.
The Governor commended Hon.Marknoble’s initiative, praising his commitment to unity and progress. He urged all kogites to embrace this spirit of cooperation, reaffirming that “we are all one, united by our shared heritage and common goals.
The delegation’s visit also symbolizes a new era of cooperation and mutual respect among political parties in Omala LGA. It demonstrates that, despite differences, leaders can come together for the greater good of the people.
Governor Ododo commended Hon. Marknoble’s leadership and Governor Ododo’s statesmanship are shining examples of the transformative power of unity.
As kogi state moves forward, this spirit of cooperation will undoubtedly propel the state toward greater heights.
The Governor also used the opportunity to urge all Kogites to come and and exercise their rights to elect their leaders in this Saturday’s LG election, promising to provide a level playing ground for all parties and stakeholders.
