2024 Servicom Week: Kogi Police Commissioner, Onuoha tasks people to complain over service failure
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand Onuoha, has called on the good people of Kogi State to complain as soon as possible when they experienced service failure from the Police so that things can be put right immediately.
He made the call during an event in commemorating the Nigeria Police Force 2024 SERVICOM WEEK on Friday 11th October, 2024 in Lokoja.
The CP further stated that, the event which was observed in all the Area Command Headquarters and Divisional Headquarters across the State aims to reassess Police performance in line with it mandate and to seek feedback from the public to ensure that quality of service the Police is delivering remains high and, to also bridge the gap between the Police and their host Communities in the State.
Some of the highlights during the engagement are public expectations from the Police to include the followings,
✓. Police should provide safety and security in the State
✓. Police to protect and respect human rights
✓. Police to provide regular patrol in the communities and along the highways
✓. Bail should be granted freely to all suspects who are entitled to it without any monetary considerations.
✓. Officers deployed on patrol or Stop and Search duties should be nearly dressed in uniform with name tags and their duty post for easy identification.
To this end, the CP assured the public that the Command is ever committed to providing quality services in line with the Law, while urging for a continuous partnership and collaboration with the public in ensuring effective service delivery in the State.
