A Suleja based house-wife Hajiya Zainab Abdulfatah has raised the alarm over threats to her life and the children by some people who claimed to be vigilante group in Suleja, Niger State.

The house wife who is a mother of six children said that the men of the vigilante group (security) stormed her matrimonial home in Gabodan area of Suleja alleging that her husband named : Abdullahi fatah shuaib was involved in same sex Marital affair with one Wahab who is currently in their custody.

She also claimed that the vigilante group who stormed her house along with some Muslims in the area alleged that she is aware of her husband’s involvement in the activity of sex which they said was against the religion of “Islam”.

Mrs Abdulfatah told CAPITAL POST in an exclusive interview that the dual group told her that a suspect named Wahab, who is in their custody, confessed that her husband and him are both lovers and always had sex together before Abdulfatah traveled.

According to her “when vigilante group and the Muslim in the community stormed my house they ask me to provide my husband or I face the consequences of the crime committed by my husband against Islam religion in the area, they continued saying that even a housefly of the house will not be spared failing to provide my husband.

“If not for the timely intervention of the police that day only God would know what would have happened to me and my children.

“I overheard the elderly ones among them putting their heads together discussing how to set our house ablaze if I failed to disclose my husband whereabout.

“As it’s now my life is seriously in jeopardy as they keep coming to the house day in day out threatening me and my children to provide the delinquent failure to do so, our lives will be claimed for the offense me and my children did not commit.

“The case is getting worse day by day because my husband was one of the religious leaders in the area that nobody could ever believe he could get involved in that kind of mess.”

Narrating her ordeals in the hands of the group, Zainab Abdulfatah stated that she could no longer sleep with her eyes closed with children for fear of being attacked in the midnight.

She called on the police several times to give her protection against the people but “they said I should provide my husband instead because he had committed a great crime against the law of the country.”

According to her, she and the children will need to leave the house for sometime if nothing is done to protect them by the police.

According to the neighbors, it was like Abdulfatah known something bad was about to happen to him and took to his heels.

He traveled to only God knows where about sometime in April and up till now nobody in the environment knows his whereabout.

If you ask his children where their father is they will say, he traveled. Nowhere in particular will it be mentioned that their father traveled to.

“From the look of things, it’s like Abdulfatah had been informed of the whole catastrophe and nobody knows when precisely he will be back.

“He might have been told not to come back or hide where he is because if tries to come back he will meet his waterloo that is waiting for him”, according to another neighbour.
