APC crisis:. Uzondinma blows hot, says Oshiomhole wouldn’t be humiliated out of office
Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma declared that patriotic forces in the ruling All Progressives (APC) wouldn’t sit to see Comrade Adams Oshiomhole being frustrated out of office.
He vowed to abort plans of those working for the removal of the embattled National Chairman of APC, stressing that Oshiomhole was being witchunted.
“I vowed that every arsenal will be deployed to ensure that the plan of those plotting Adams Oshiomhole’s removal is foiled.”
“He did nothing wrong that warrant his removal, and if he did anything wrong, the process of removing a party Chairman is very clear in party guidelines.
The idea of going through back door to obtain exparte orders from Courts to remove the APC Chairman would be rebuffed.
Uzondinma also accused those plotting to remove Oshiomhole of dropping the name of the President in their plot.
Speaking with newsmen in Owerri, he said those opposed to the APC Chairman were working in cahoots with PDP leaders to destroy the APC.
“The plot to remove Oshiomhole is a clear case of witch hunt otherwise those behind it would have come through the proper channel which is the NEC of the party but they have refused to do so because they know they have no genuine case against him.
“Many of us, leaders of the party, are aware that those clamouring for the chairman’s removal are working with the PDP to destabilise the party but they will fail because we will not allow them to humiliate our national chairman out of the party through illegal means or by dropping the name of Mr. President.”
The National Executive Committee (NEC) is expected to meet on Tuesday amid the crisis.
