No election took place in Rivers, results pre-written, announced – CCLCA

An observer group, the Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness (CCLCA), has claimed that no legitimate Local Government election occurred in Rivers State last Saturday, October 5th 2024.

The group’s Director General, Dr Gabriel Nwambu stated this during a live appearance on AIT during the weekend.

He emphasized that the results of the LGA election were pre-determined and merely announced.

In his words,”Actually there was no election in Rivers State. What happened was that the results had already been written and an announcement of winners”.

He went on to criticize the process, describing it as a mockery of democracy and a blatant disregard for the Supreme Court’s July 11th ruling.

Nwambu also accused the state’s leadership of undermining standard electoral practices.
