FCT Minister, Bar. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has rained praises on the laudable contribution of the nation’s founding fathers for their vision in building Nigeria that is the pride of African continent.

Change of Name

Bar. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike made the remark in his message to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory, as Nigerians celebrates the 64th Independence of the largest black African nation.

In a press release personally signed by the Minister, Wike, he admonished FCT residents to uphold the legacies of our founding fathers, while supporting the transformational strides of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s re-newed hope agenda.

Wike said, “let us spare a thought for our founding fathers, whose vision, determination and sacrifice laid the foundation for Nigeria we call home. Their commitment to united, strong and prosperous Nigeria continued to guide our journey, and we must honoured their legacy by embracing the values of unity, peace and collective progress”.

As residents of the Federal Capital Territory, we occupy a special place in the heart of our nation. Its a melting pot of our diverse cultures, ethnicities and traditions, all coexisting harmoniously. The unique blend of diversity is not just a strength but the hope for brighter future”.

The Minister who admitted the nation’s peculiar challenges that are of economic, security and social nature, urged the residents and indeed Nigerians to be resilience in our collective tasks of nation building.

Wike charged the FCT residents to be committed in fostering national unity and continue to ensure Abuja remains a symbols of hope and centre of opportunities for all Nigerians.

FCT Administration he assured, remains committed to enhancing security, quality services and improvement in the quality of life for the residents.
