2 prominent women kidnapped in Lokoja
Suspected kidnappers have reportedly kidnapped two women in Lokoja at a gunpoint in Lokongoma Estate, phase II in Lokoka, Kogi State capital.
Sources close to the kidnapped womens’ family narrated that the victims were kidnapped over the weekend around 6.30pm in Lokoja.
The kidnapped women were identified as Mrs Afolabi Toyin who is the CEO of Testayo supermarket and sells children materials in the phase II area of Lokoja, while the second woman, Mrs Taiwo Hannah Orebiyi, is said to be a wife of the Chairman, Kogi Tourism Board.
The CEO of Testayo was said to have been trailed to her residence, abducted and ferried on River Niger to an unknown destination.
The wife of the Chairman of Kogi State Tourism Board was kidnapped along with Testayo for raising alarm on the presence of kidnappers.
Kogi State Police Command was yet to release a statement as at the time of filing this report.
