PDP Crisis: Arewa PDP Support Group throw weight behind acting National Chairman Damagum

The Arewa PDP Support Group has rallied its support behind the Acting National Chairman, Amb Umar Damagum describing his leadership as “very commendable”.

The leadership of the Arewa PDP Support Group gave the recommendations through a press release jointly signed by its National Secretary, Hon Desmond Minakaro and it’s National Publicity Secretary Comrade Auwal Baba from their office in Kaduna.

The statement called on all lovers of PDP to support the healing process ongoing within the Party and work towards resuscitating the Party back to full consciousness, to enable it wrestle power back from the APC come 2027.

It further urged it’s members across the 19 Northern States and FCT to support the Amb Damagum led National Working Committee for the betterment of the party.

The Statement called on all PDP Governors, BoT, NEC and Party Elites to obey the recent Court ruling that favours the continuation in office of the Amb Damagum led NWC.

Finally, the statement appealed to INEC Chairman, the Inspector General of Police and other Security Agencies to provide a level playing ground for all the political parties participating at tomorrow’s Saturday, 21st Governorship Election in Edo by being free and fair, devoid of unwarranted interference.
