The Nigerian troops has eliminated a notorious terrorists kingpin, Halilu Sububu gun fire operation by the military in Zamfara State where he has been operating on Thursday.
Credible information in the early hours of Friday indicated that the terrorist leader was killed in gun battle with the Nigerian military on Thursday.
He was said to have been responsible for the killing of a drone pilot, an operative of the Department of State Service, two months ago in Zamfara, North West Nigeria where he has been operating from the forest.
Others who were reportedly killed along with him are believed to be some members of his gang, even as the military launched a fresh onslaught against bandits and terrorists in all the North West States.
“In an aggressive clearance operation yesterday, military troops eliminated the notorious Halilu Sububu and several other bandits in Zamfara last night.
“Troops also recovered deadly firearms and ammunition, together with motorcycles from the terrorists,” the source noted.
Aside the recent killing of the drone pilot and DSS operative, the notorious bandits kingpin was also linked to abduction and killing of many civilians in Zamfara State.
Meanwhile another deadly terrorists kingpin, Bello Turji, who has been operating from the forest in Zamfara has challenged the Nigerian military to battle.
Turji has imposed a levy of N30 million on resident of Mariki community in Zamfara to pay for be ready to the consequences.
