BREAKING: Unknown gunmen wipe out family of 4 in Omala, Kogi State

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday as a yet-to-be identified gunmen stormed Opada Community in Ofejiji ward of Omala Local Government Council and wiped out an entire family of 4.

A source close to the family told CAPITAL POST that the gunmen came to the community with gulf-car, stormed the residence of the deceased who was identified as Alhassan Acheneje, and shot him, his wife and two children and left them in the pool of their blood.

CAPITAL POST was also hinted that the gunmen on their arrival in the compound shot sporadically into the air to scare anyone from interfering with their operation.

The deafening sound of gunshots scared people around the community who scampered into the bush to take cover.

Meanwhile, the decreased’s half brother, Daniela Acheneje was assassinated by a yet-to-be identified gunmen about four weeks ago while on his way to the farm, while his wife who was together with him escaped by the whiskers.

Opada Community in Omala Local Government Council in Kogi East Senatorial District had in recent past been under gunmen attacks.

The Police Command in Kogi State was yet to issue a statement while attempt to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, William Ayah was unsuccessful.
