Youth Activist organises empowerment initiative seminar for Plateau Youths
Executive Director of the Social Empowerment and Peace Initiative and Youth Activist, Comrade Friday Bako has organised an innovative seminar for selected Youths in Plateau State which is aimed at promoting peace, good governance, and anti-corruption campaigns.
Comrade Bako speaking during the Seminar held at Great links Hotel Jos, said the Focus of the Seminar is to provide educational empowerment, skills acquisition, mentoring and leadership training of the Youths on Peace Advocacy, good Governance and Media Media.
He added that the Seminar also seeks to build the capacities of the youth population, providing a platform for them to leverage social media opportunities and develop essential Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
“The program also aims to mentor youths on leadership, fostering a self-sufficient and purpose-driven generation.
Comrade Bako emphasized the importance of harnessing the multidimensional talents of youths to achieve their full potential.
He urged governments at all levels to prioritize youth capacity building, acknowledging the critical role they play in shaping the future.
He however mentioned that the Social Empowerment and Peace Initiative target is to impact on youth development, empowering them to become active contributors to societal progress and positive change.
