This was disclosed by the Nasarawa state, Governor, Abdullahi Sule, during the flagging off of a two-day workshop for 150 directors, held at Government House, Lafia the capital city of the state.
He recalled that the previous administration of Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura had approved the recruitment of 130 fresh graduates as administrative officers.
“Based on the previous approval given by my predecessor, Senator Al-Makura, my administration went further to implement the decision. He added.
Sule explained that the fresh graduates, 10 each from each of the 13 local government areas, were brought into the civil service to help the directors, who are mostly mid-career officers, to grow and to re-establish the civil service.
“I also gave an approval for the administrative officers to be trained in line with the determination and zeal of my administration to launch Nasarawa State on the part of progress and socio-economic development of the state.
“If these people are trained, you have people who you can carry along with you, for them to grow and now we can have what is called civil service and that is the dream, He told the participants.
