Ambode visits Lagos House, in closed door meeting with successor
Ex-governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday visited his successor in office, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, marking the first time since leaving office after he served for four years.
CAPITAL POST recalled that he was replaced with Sanwo-Olu in 2019 by the powers that be at that time and since then, the former governor had never been visibly seen in the government house.
Governor Sanwo-Olu in a post he shared on Instagram which was sighted on Monday, said, he had a discussion with his predecessor in office about the future of Lagos Stat emphasizing the importance of building upon the solid foundation already established in the state.
He expressed appreciation for Ambode’s insights, highlighting the collaborative effort needed to keep Lagos on its path of growth and development, while he also shared photos of his meeting with Ambode.
“Today, I welcomed my brother and predecessor, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, back to Lagos House on a courtesy visit.
Our conversation centred around the future of Lagos and building on the solid foundation already in place. I value his perspective as we all work together to ensure that Lagos remains on the path of growth and development.”
