Tinubu will restore people’s confidence, appoint new heads for NNPCL, NMDPRA—lawmaker
Rep. Philip Agbese, the Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, has urged Nigerians not to protest against the government of President Bola Tinubu.
He added that the president will restore their confidence in his administration by appointing competent hands to work with him and changing the leadership of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd.
This change, he said, would affect the leadership of the Nigerian Mistrean and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
According to him, the President had warned some time ago that he would not hesitate to sack his appointees or those inherited from past administrations if they failed to do well.
“I believe strongly in the President that he will do all that he has promised. Nobody loves this country more than Tinubu.
“This is one man who is ready to sacrifice everything for Nigeria, especially the youths of this country.
He called on all his comrades, patriots and partners in progress not to participate in any protest.
He added that the President had given more appointments to young people than any other African leader in recent times, saying, “How then do we pay him back with protests against his administration?”
“The fit and proper thing at this point is to support him. However, he will also reciprocate by sacking those impeding our growth and development.
“There’s no going back on that, Mele Kyari and Farouq Ahmed must be sacked.”
