Senator Dachungyang demands probe into Fatal School building collapse in Plateau

Sen. Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang,
has urged for an immediate investigation into the tragic collapse of a school building at Saint Academy Secondary School, Busa Buji, Jos, which resulted in 22 fatalities and hundreds of injuries.

During his visit to the site in Jos the Senator called for strict adherence to building laws, describing the incident as an unprecedented disaster. He expressed his intention to propose a motion in the National Assembly, seeking legislation to ensure proper planning and construction of educational institutions.

Change of Name

The Lawmaker also visited hospitals to encourage survivors and commended the Plateau State Government, security agencies, emergency workers, and the public for their prompt response.

He offered condolences to the bereaved families, urging them to find hope in the face of tragedy.

Senator Dachungyang’s call for investigation and pledge legislative action aims to prevent such disasters in the future and ensure the safety of schools in Nigeria.

The Senator has also commiserated with the Muslim Ummah in Plateau State over the demise of Sheikh Lawal Adam, Chief Iman of Jos Central Mosque.

He visited that House of the late chief Imam and extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, the leadership of the Jos Central Mosque as well as the entire Ulamah in the State.
