BREAKING: Court nullifies Edo PDP governorship primary election

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primary election in Edo State.

Delivering judgment on Thursday, Justice Inyang Ekwo who presided over the case submitted that the party did not follow its own constitution, adding clearly that they cannot build something on nothing.

Justice Ekwo further averred that Asue Ighodalu was not properly elected in line with the statutes of the Constitution of the PDP.

In Nigeria’s electoral law, primary election is a pre-election matter.
