Chelsea have reached an agreement with Leicester City to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, football.london understands.
The Blues made an official approach to sign the 25-year-old earlier this week with talks now reaching a conclusion which will see them pay £30million for his services. Enzo Maresca worked with the midfielder at King Power Stadium last season and is understandably keen for a reunion.
Dewsbury-Hall will likely arrive as Chelsea’s fourth official summer signing following Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian and Omari Kellyman.
“Enzo was an unbelievable manager,” he recently told BBC Sport. “I genuinely see him becoming a top manager, so it wasn’t a surprise to see he was in demand. It is weird having to change a manager after being so successful, but that’s football.”
Alongside Dewsbury-Hall, Chelsea are continuing to work on deals for Marc Guiu and Aaron Anselmino with Kellyman confirmed as the third addition over the weekend.
Though those three players will likely arrive as part of the senior team, Dewsbury-Hall is arguably the second marquee addition of the summer. As part of the deal with Leicester for Dewsbury-Hall, there was talk of a Chelsea star heading to King Power Stadium.
The likes of Armando Broja or Datro Fofana were mooted as options, though it looks set to be highly-rated midfielder Michael Golding that joins the Foxes, as per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
