Over 330 PPN members defect to APC in Nasarawa

The All Progressive Congress, APC, Nasarawa state chapter had officially received more than 330 decampees from PPN in Lafia East Development Area of the state.
Speaking at the occasion, the state chairman of APC, Mr. Tatari Shekowo described the moment as a great one since the 2019 elections in the state.
“This massive flee from PPN to our great Party, APC has clearly demonstrated that the leadership style of our Governor, Abdullahi Sule is acceptable to all citizens of Nasarawa state.
Represented by the, Vice Chairman of the ruling APC, southern zone, Alhaji Mohammed Baban Saleh, Mr. Shekowo outlined some of the transformation programmes and policies of Sule’s administration recorded so far. He said it includes provision of security of lives and property of citizens, road network, health sector, education, water supply across board irrespective of religion, tribe and political sharp division.
Other areas of achievement by APC, led administration in the state according to the party number one man is agriculture and commitment to wooing investors to the state to invest with a view to provide jobs opportunity to teeming people without discrimination.
He assured people of the state that when they give, APC and Sule their mandate in 2023 there was no doubt, Nasarawa will be envious of states in the country in terms of physical and human development.
Shekowo appealed to all and sundry to support the present administration under the watch of Sule as to enable him succeed in his quest to change the fortune of the state in no distance time.
Speaking separately, Speaker of Lafia LG legislatures, APC, local government chairman among others commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for taking the bull by the horns in tackling insecurity.
“Now our people go to bed with their eyes closed. They also go to their farm without fear of the unknown. They all stated.
In an interview with CAPITAL POST, the leader of the decampees and State assembly candidate at the last election under the PPN, Hon. Awal Aliyu Adogi revealed the rationale behind himself and other members to abandon their party and join the ruling APC that it was due to practical development which was witnessed in the state.
“There is no gain saying on the numerous achievements put in place by our Governor in the last one year of assumption in office. All these are visible and not fake or propaganda. He noted.
“As you can see, security apparatus are working round the clock to ensure safeguard of lives and property of all, especially, those of us living in rural areas, we don’t have any security threat courtesy of Governor Sule.
“Don’t forget, I contested the seat of state house of assembly in the last election under opposition party and I made a significant impact since then I continue to champion the course of PPN untill after study all action plans of Governor Sule, I now deem it fit to join APC so that together, we can change the narratives. Adogi added.
Some activities that added colours at the occasion are presentation of brooms as APC symbol to the decampees to show that they are now part and parcel of the party.
