A group, Kogi Patriotic Group (KPG), has challenged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) of what it described as graveyard silence as Kogi Stare governor, Yahaya Bello continue to feign ignorance of salaries percentage payment in the State.

The group said, State workers have consistently been paid in percentages in the last six months, but expressed concern that the governor brazenly denied.

The group in a statement personally issued by Abdul Abdul in Lokoja on Thursday and made available to CAPITAL POST, asked labour leaders to return balances of percentage salaries to state civil servants or face public embarrassement from Kogi workers.

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello in the National television exonerated his administration over payment of percentage salaries to Kogi workers since the beginning of this year.

‘The public denial shows that some labour leaders must have connived with top government officials to shortchange public workers in the state.’

The group promised to alert the anti corruption agencies like the EFCC and ICPC, to carry out a wholistic investigation into this weighty allegations and position of Kogi state Governor.

‘It is disheartening and tantamount to haywire corruption for public workers emoluments to be pilfer by labour leaders and top government officials, without the consent of the govenment.’

Abdul promised to start the campaign to recover Kogi workers salaries balance from court of public opinion, and later the conventional courts to unravel the culprits.
