The distribution is part of his efforts to promote unity, love, and kindness in his constituency.
Our reporter gather Rt. Hon. Gagdi has always been celebrating with his constituents both during Christmas and Sallah since he was elected as a Member of the State House of Assembly before going to the House of Representatives in 2019 to date.
While Speaking to Journalists Gagdi said apart from the his visit to the orphanage home and made some donations in the spirit of celebrating Salah. Noted that he was committed to this cause of providing relief to his Constituents during festivity.
“Since Thursday when I left Abuja to visit my constituents. I went to Kanam local government to visit the people who elected me and share 414 rams with religious leaders, traditional rulers, and political friends and stalwarts.
“Given the current situation, not everyone within the three local governments could benefit from the 414 rams. Therefore, I also provided monetary commitments and incentives to reach as many people as possible across the 20 state wards in Pankshin, 18 state wards in Kanké, and 20 wards in Kanam, focusing on supporting Muslims during this time. Similarly, in December, we support Christian party officials in the same manner, ensuring inclusivity.
“This year, we shared a total of 57 million naira worth of resources. In Kanam, we slaughtered four cows for all security agencies, including Operation Safe Haven, the police, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps. In Jos, we slaughtered six rams for the Almajiri institutions and shared them among our staff and some orphanage homes.
“We do this to comply with the message of Eid al-Kabir, which is about showing love, sacrifice, commitment, brotherliness, faith, and service to humanity. Visiting 66 orphans and sharing what we have with them is a joyful experience. I decided to make my own children orphans today, sending them to Kanam to experience Salah without me or their mother, who is engaged with women in the villages. This allows them to share in the experience of those without parents and understand their struggles.
“By doing this, we hope to encourage others with the economic capacity to give back to society, especially in these challenging times. People with jobs and salaries struggle to afford basic necessities, let alone orphans. We need to support those who are less privileged.
“We discovered a model orphanage home that is a great example for the Muslim community. It houses over 100 orphans in a well-developed, hygienic environment. This institution was not funded by the government or NGOs but by a dedicated individual. Supporting such models can help eradicate the Almajiri system and provide better futures for these children”. He said.
