Eid-el-Kabir: Civil Defence Corps deploys 1,700 officers across Niger to deal with trouble makers
To ensure hitch free and smooth Eid- el-kabir celebration in Niger State, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Joachim Okafor has deployed a total of 1,700 officers and men to various praying grounds across the state to maintain peace and deal with trouble makers.
Also, plain clothes operatives of the corps and armed squad of the corps were placed on strategic locations to maintain law and order during and after the yuletide.
According to a press release issued by the State Commandant through the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Abubakar Mohammed .Rabiu Muti, the personnel will be deployed across the state to provide security and maintain order during the celebration.
The State Commandant warned that any individual or group planning to disrupt the celebration will face the full wrath of the law. He directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and Intelligence Officers to be on high alert and ensure adequate protection of critical National Asset and infrastructure in the State with seamless celebration in Niger State.
The Commandant assured the general public to go about their lawful activities without fear, and to report any suspicious movements to the security agencies in the state.
The NSCDC is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens in Niger State during this festive period.
