Following the incidences of high rate of violence against men, leading to slashing of their manhood, a frontline Civil Rights activist, Shehu Sani has advocated for establishment of law against manhood in Nigeria.

He decried the incident which has become frequent lately, saying, if not stopped through law, domestic violence leading to slashing of male organ would be on the rise among couples in Nigeria.

Sani who formerly represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Senate spoke on Wednesday condemning a housewife who cut her husband’s manhood in Kaduna, in the course of domestic violence, insisting that there must be strict law against manhood cutting before it gets late.

He said, men also need protection against their wives, noting that it is justiciable that law should be enacted that protects husbands against their violent wives.

He said: “The woman who cut the manhood of her husband in Kaduna has committed a serious crime. The rising cases of violence against manhood demand a specific law to protect it against being abused.

The sanction, he said, should be punitive, to protect manhood from being denigrated, insulted, wasteful, injured or amputated, so that men can live their full lives.
