Member representing Orumba North/South Federal Constituency, Princess Chinww Nnabuife, has said that though there are enormous problems confronting Nigeria as a state, ‘there is hope for the country.”

She made this known on Wednesday after the visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a joint committee of the National Assembly.

Change of Name

Hon. Nnabuife noted that Nigerians are passing through turbulence moment orchestrated by the subsidy removal, insecurity among others ills in the society. But, she said the fact that we are enjoying twenty five years of unbroken democracy is a reason we should thank God.

She added that there is no way Nigeria can get it right in a day or short time, but she believes that it will eventually come to be because it is still work in progress.

According to her, “What Nigerians need now is to have food to eat, to see insecurity tackle with vigour because it is the bane in the wheel of our progress. We want the women to be carried along in whatever we are doing as a nation.

“We want our youths to be empowered, you can’t find our youths anywhere in the country, they are living the shore Nigeria in search for greener pastures because of the hardship in the land, though some people out there Nigeria is their greener pastures, so all hands must be on deck even we the legislators must bring out very good legislations for the betterment of our country.

“We want power supply, now we pay high tariff yet there is no light, our problems are enormous but I still believe there is hope for this country.

Meanwhile, she posited that the only way Nigeria could be great again is when citizens are patriotic to their fatherland and doing that with sincerity.

Recall that Nnabuife won the rerun election for Orumba North and Orumba South Federal Constituency in Anambra earlier in February this year, she scored 14,416, while the closest candidate, Okwudili Ezenwankwo of PDP, scored 13,087.
