NLO Play-Off: Coach Lemy reveals mission of qualifying Clever Warriors FC to NPFL

Coach Bashir Lemy on Saturday said his set target is to launch his side, Clever Warriors FC of Kano in the Nigeria’s topmost club football league, NPFL.

Lemy who spoke with Sportwritters in Kano, said the current structure on which the club is been ran clearly confirms that it possesses the quality to be on parade at the highest level.

He said the display by his lads in the just concluded NLO contest at the NLO Kano centre is a testimony of the level of preparedness to pursue and live their dream, which supersedes playing in the NNL.

He said “ we give thanks to God for everything he has perfected for us as a football club, so far this season, we proved the doubting Thomases wrong, in their pessimistic permutations, we played in one of the toughest centres, we emerged unbeaten, this is worth glorifying, this shows our character and strength.

“the way we scored goals and defended were very magnificent and intelligent , we scored eight goals in three matches and hardly conceded, this shows you the quality our team is made of, in overall our technical quality can swallow any level of opposition particularly at this time and at this stage .Lemy said.

Adding that “We had a level playing ground at the NLO Kano centre , this gave us the motivation to showcase our quality, now as we get ready to go to Abuja for the play-off, we are confident of been given a level playing ground again , so far we harbor no fear about that.

Lemy noted that the technical crew and players under his watch have remained vigilant and abreast with the huge task ahead, as they file out against city neighbors Barau FC, on May 29th at the Bwari stadium FCT Abuja.

He assured that the game will be prosecuted without animosity, though appealed to the league organizers to sustain the commended high level of organizational standard that has been exercised , since the commencement of the ongoing NLO league season.

He said “ we are witnesses to how the league has been consistent in taking decisions on issues, the speed in tough decision making and the level of professionalism , we have seen in NLO, is what gives us the unshaken confidence not to relent, we have shunned side talks, we don’t listen to gossips and other little distractions , we are focused and determined to pursue our dream.

He further said “promoting club sides now runs in my blood, this time, it is not going to be a different haggling , the sprit in our camp is high, our moral is high, we know the importance of the task ahead of us, we will not lower our guards, we will do our best and leave the rest to God.
