BREAKING: Emir Sanusi II in Kano to get letter of appointment

Following reinstatement on Thursday, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has travelled from his place of banishment to Kano to be presented with appointment letter by the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Reports sighted by CAPITAL POST early Friday indicated that the Emir arrived Kano early enough preparatory for his appointment letter which the ceremony will take place at the Government House in Kano at 10.00am.

Kano as at Friday morning is quiet and calm with supporters of Emir in felicity mood. The occasion was expected to be attended by public and private dignitaries.

Sanusi Bature, Governor Yusuf’s spokesman said, the ceremony will afford opportunity for the governor to deliver a brief speech over the reinstated Emir and Emir himself will respond to the governor’s speech.

As part of the tradition, District Heads and other prominent traditional title holders will publicly declare their allegiance to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
