Youth group, stakeholders reiterate commitment to unity of Nigeria

A youth group operating under the aegis of “National Youth Stakeholders Forum, has declared that unity of the nation is sacrosanct to achieving the collective socio-economic and political interest of the nation, while they reiterated their commitment irrespective of any situation.

The assurance was given at a conference of stakeholders which held on 12th May, 2024 in Abuja.

Change of Name

In a communique which was sent to CAPITAL POST in Abuja, the forum maintained that the youth inclusion in governance and the recognition of the immense potential and energy of young people would play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future, hence, they called on President Bola Tinubu’s administration to adopt inclusive governance for full participation of the Nigerian youths.

The meeting saw participation from various organizations, including the Forum of national youth leaders of political parties in Nigeria, Representatives of ethnic nationalism, Young parliamentarians caucus of the national assembly, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Odua People’s Congress ( OPC ),

Others are the Ijaw Youth Council, National Youth Parliaments, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Worldwide, Congress of Arewa Youth for Peace and Equity, United Hope For Then North, National Association of Nigerian Students,

“South-South Youth For Good Governance and Grass Root Mobilization, Northern Youth Ambassador ( NYA ), Nigeria Youth Organization NYO, Isoko National Youth Assembly worldwide, Visionary Youth Initiative Int’l, Independent Pan African Youth Parliament, Urhobo Progressive Union ( Youth Wing Worldwide ) ,

South -South Youth Movement For Good Governance and Grass Root Mobilization, Forum Of Nigerian Traders in Politics, Enyimba Progressive Movement, Youth For Change Initiative and other prominent organizations.

Amb. Muhammad Auwal Musa was unanimously upheld as Chairman, and Hon. Chinazam Ike as Vice Chairman, to lead the National Youth Stakeholders Forum. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing satisfaction with the outcomes achieved.

“The National Youth Stakeholders Forum remains committed to empowering the youth and ensuring their voices are heard. We extend an invitation to all other youth stakeholders and organizations across the country to join us in our mission for a common goal.”

The National Youth Stakeholders Forum is a collective body representing the interests of Nigerian youth, comprising various youth organizations. The forum promotes unity, inclusivity, and collaboration among young individuals, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to nation-building efforts.
