Supreme Court judgement: Fulani socio-cultural group backs Bello, tells him what to do
The Fulani Socio-cultural group, ‘Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN)’ has said that Supreme Court judgement in favour of Yahaya Bello was a reflection of the peoples will.
While congratulating the governor in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday, MACBAN’s Kogi State branch Chairman, Alhaji Wakili Damina said Yahaya Bello should use his second tenure to work for the people despite their party or religious differences.
“The favourable Supreme Court judgment is expected by the people of the state because the governor was voted massively in the election,” the statement said.
The group advised other political leaders to accept the outcome of court judgement and cooperate with Kogi State government in the task ahead.
“We like to advise Bello to use his second term to work for the people irrespective of religion or tribe.”
Damina thanked the governor for giving herders in the state the freedom to practie their trade, promising that his members will continue to live in peace with other residents.
