Nasarawa State Government House was agog, when Fulani leaders, over 500 women from across the state, joined the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Hajiya Farida Abdullahi Sule, to celebrate her recent conferment of the title of the Sarauniyar Matan Fulanin Nasarawa by the Emir of Lafia, HRH, Justice Sidi Bage (rtd).
The Late Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, was on Friday, filled to capacity, as the Nasarawa First Family, were joined by friends and well-wishers, to celebrate the feat attained by the wife of the Governor.
In his remarks, the Emir of Katsina, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, thanked the Emir of Lafia, for finding their daughter worthy of the conferment.
Represented at the event by the Sarkin Fulanin Nasarawa, Senator Walid Jibrin, the Katsina royal father, said Fulani community leaders, with over 500 Fulani women were gathered at the event to celebrate with the new Sarauniyar Matan Fulanin Nasarawa.
The Royal Father added that the conferment of the title on Hajiya Farida Abdullahi Sule, is in recognition of the exemplary leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, who he said, is trying his best to bring much needed development to the state.
He prayed to God to help the Sarauniyar Matan Fulanin Nasarawa in her new position.
In a vote of thanks, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, showed appreciation to the Emir of Lafia for the honour done to his wife.
Sule equally thanked the Sarkin Fulani Nasarawa, Senator Walid Jibrin, for mobilizing Ardos, Fulani leaders and women, as a demonstration of love for the Nasarawa First Family.
He also thanked the Emir of Katsina for showing love to the first family.
Sule expressed hope that the people of the state will continue to live in peace with each other, in unity, for the development of the state.
Important dignitaries that attended the event include, Hajiya Hauwa Sule, mother of Abdullahi Sule, the Nasarawa First Lady, Her Excellency, Hajiya Salifat Abdullahi Sule, Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Halima Jabiru, Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Barriater Ubandoma Aliyu, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Sarkin Yakin Keffi and HRH Sarkin Yakanajen Uke, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Hassan Abdullahi among others.
