Sunday Worship Service: Fighting Spiritual Warfare

Text: ‭Judges 3:1-4 NLT‬
[1] These are the nations that the Lord left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan. [2] He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle. [3] These are the nations: the Philistines (those living under the five Philistine rulers), all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the mountains of Lebanon from Mount Baal-hermon to Lebo-hamath. [4] These people were left to test the Israelites—to see whether they would obey the commands the Lord had given to their ancestors through Moses.

Many people are fighting battles they know nothing about. The least we can do is to be patient, kind and compassionate towards people people carrying labels.
Work gently with others. There are hidden wounds people are carrying, wounds that have no labels.

God is a fighter and warrior. He teaches our hands to fight and fingers to war. A warrior gives birth to a warrior. We are made in the image of God.

We face wars everyday. Our journey from pregnancy to birth was a fight.
There is a seed of a warrior inside of us.

We need to learn how to engage in the fight of faith.
‭1 Timothy 6:12 NLT‬
[12] Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
Exodus 17vs11-14

The enemies attack is not for your destruction but for your development.
No matter how thick the darkness is or how deep the Red Sea in your life is, you will get out of it.
Anyone that gather against you will be destroyed.

‭Ephesians 6:12-18 NLT‬
[12] For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. [13] Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. [14] Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. [15] For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. [16] In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. [17] Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [18] Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

The enemy makes a mistake to say he wants to attack you because you have God on your side.
Nothing can stop you what God has destined for your life. The reason is God has already set a system in place for your protection.

‭Exodus 23:22-23 NLT‬
[22] But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you. [23] For my angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, so you may live there. And I will destroy them completely.

God will oppose anyone that comes against you.
That is why you need to anchor your life on God’s word.
Anchor your life on God’s word.

The battle we fight everyday is in our heart. He uses doubt to fight faith in us but if we can win in our heart, we can win physically.

‭Philippians 1:28 NLT‬
[28] Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.

Do not allow anything bring fear in you.
If you only depend on people, you will not go far.
The enemy doesn’t want to see you fulfill purpose. He wants you to live a wasted life.
