Ondo guber: Ododo to chair APC primary election committee
The Governor of Kogi State, Gov. Usman Ododo has been appointed to head the five-man Committee for the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Primary election.
The shadow election that will pick the party flag bearer for the November 16, 2024 governorship election is slated for April 20.
Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege will serve as the Secretary of the Committee.
Other members of the Primary Election Committee are Sen. Lekan Mustapha; Hon. Adefunmilayo Tejuoso; Chief Meg Duru; former Oyo Deputy Governor Iyiola Oladokun and Dr. Sani Danjuma.
The National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje inaugurated the Committee alongside the Appeal Committee for the same election on Thursday evening in Abuja.
Also, the five-man Appeal Committee will be chaired by Mohammed Abubakar. Chief Obiocha Israel will serve as Secretary while other members are Jamilu Isiyiaka Gwamna, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbo and Chief Onyeka Okafor.
In his response, Gov. Usman Ododo assured that he will adhere to the principle of the party and produce the best candidate for party for the Ondo guber poll.
Kogi Deputy Governor who represented the Governor said, “He (Ododo) has accepted to collaborate with all the commitee members to produce the best candidate for Ondo gubernatorial election and in so doing he will abide by the principle, doctrine and the constitution for our great Party. And this, we will return now, during and even after the election of Ondo state” he said.
