BREAKING: Kogi: Armed robbers raid First, ACCESS banks at Anyigba, carts away unspecified sums of money

Reports reaching CAPITAL POST on Thursday indicated that armed robbers on stormed branches of First and ACCESS banks, robbed and carted away a yet-be-ascertained sums of money.

Anyigba is in Kogi East Senatorial District where the Prince Abubaka Audu University is located.

Though the information was still scanty at the time of filing this report, the source told our reporter that the heavily armed robbers stormed the two banks simultaneous and began sporadic shooting in broad day light.

There was no challenge by security agents while the robbery lasts by the police operatives as the zonal police station is located few minutes away from the scenes of the robbery.

Also, the sum of money carted away has not been disclosed by either of the affected banks, while Kogi State Police Command was yet to issue a statement.

Casualties were yet to be confirmed at the time of filing this report.
