One of the Edo governorship aspirants claiming victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election, Hon. Anamero Sunday Dekeri on Monday stormed the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja, demanding that the Certificate of Returns be issued to him as the winner of the February 17 shadow election.
The aspirant arrived the Muhammadu Buhari House at about 1:10 pm to formally present a letter requesting the NWC through the National Chairman to with immediate effect issue him with the certificate.
Dekeri, decked in a white kaftan walked straight to the office of the National Chairman and presented the one-page letter. He left few minutes after.
However, a source close to the member of the House of Representatives for Etsako Federal Constituency said the one-page letter personally signed by him requested that the party’s highest administrative organ, the NWC should issue him with the certificate of returns, having polled the highest votes in the election.
Recall that Dekeri was declared the winner of the Saturday APC primary by the local government returning officers for the 2024 Edo State APC governorship primary election.
